FAILING THE GINAT
This month Max came to Chamonix to live in the lap of luxury: the front seat of our van. Such stylish surrounds and comfort made it hard for him to join me on our mountain training regime. But, being the accomplished and stoic alpinist that he is, Max braved the difficult accent up the extremely difficult and technical Aguille du Midi gondola so we could jump on some of the accessible climbs of The Alps.
After successfully climbing 'The Shit Route' among others, we made an attempt on the Ginat and were defeated... on the approach... by Patagonian style winds. We bailed and instead skinned up the Argentiere Glacier to jump on 'Thin Madness' instead.
